On March 28, 2026 , the NAACP Decatur County Branch 5167-B hosted a meaningful and inspiring community gathering: Women’s History & Know Your Voting Rights at Nelson Chapel AME Church Fellowship Hall in Bainbridge, Georgia. This event was more than a program on the calendar — it was a reminder of the power of education, the importance of civic awareness, and the lasting influence of women in shaping our communities, our history, and our democracy. As we reflected on Women’s History Month , we took time to honor the courage, resilience, leadership, and sacrifice of women who have paved the way in every area of life — from families and faith communities to schools, advocacy, public service, and the ongoing fight for justice and equality.
